Paul F. Nichols, PE, PLS 

 

Established in 1985 Paul F. Nichols, Civil Engineer & Land Surveyor has been providing Land Surveying, Land Planning and Engineering solutions for over 30 years. This firm is capable of a wide range services for both the public and private sectors. Pauls office is in Bar Harbor, Hancock County, Maine, but he travels frequently to other areas as well as New Hampshire.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Paul established his business in 1985 in southeastern New Hampshire. He was first licensed as a Civil Engineer in 1985 and as a Land Surveyor in 1991. Prior to that Paul worked for the City of Haverhill, MA, Engineering Dept. as a Civil Engineer from 1976 to 1985 when the city underwent extensive rehab and renovation.

 

Paul graduated from Lowell Technical Institute (now UMass at Lowell) with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. He also attended New Hampshire Technical Institute, received an Associates degree in Mechanical Engoneering, and the University of New Hampshire in the study of Engineering and Land Surveying. He annually completes several seminars and workshops staying current with many topics such as boundary law , GPS inovations, and the latest technological advances. He is a member of both the Maine Society of Land Surveyors, and the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association.

 

In 30 years Paul has completed a wide variety of projects and worked with many clients and professional associates in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. A few examples:

 

Duane Hyde of the Nature Conservancy - one of the largest US land trusts - surveying and mapping of several projects over 20 years.

 

Donald A. Wilson of Land Boundary Consultants, Inc., www.landboundary.com, - surveying to assist with several boundary disputes

 

Many Land Developers - projects such as subdivisions, elderly housing, sports facilities of all types, commercial establishments, etc.
